Our annual holiday party with German Russian food and traditional holiday music.
We celebrated our German Russian heritage with the holiday food, stories and songs from our childhood.
Ethnic dishes typically include Kuchen, Kuchle [umlauted over u], Grebbel, Lebkuchen, Plachinda, Bierock, Runza, Knopfle [umlauted over O], Himmel, Erda and Haluptsi. Assorted breads, pickled watermelon and beets, and smoked sausage accompany. As usual, it's more food than we all could eat........and mmmmmm, good!
