This is yet another of my series of articles associated with the World Wide Web and doing genealogy research. Many times, I found, that I simply didn’t know about certain sources and when I finally learn about these resources, I become more successful at my research effort. This article will provide you with several website addresses that help you to launch into other, more specific, sites to aid in your research.

FEEFHS Web Site (http://feefhs.org ) will provide you with a means of accessing the web site of the Federation of Eastern European Families Histories Society. FEEFHS has several other links to more specific area including the Galizien German Decendents website (http://feefhs.org/gal/ggd/frg-ggd.html). The area of Galicia was located just west of the Ukraine and in southern (modern) Poland. Some GR, including one of my family members (Schmidt) stayed there prior to continuing on to the Gluckstal Colonies.

Cindy’s List Web Site (http://www.cyndisList.com/germruss.htm) This list has recently moved and has gotten bigger and better. It’s a wealth of links to other German Russian websites, including some I mentioned in my previous article.

Minnesota Genealogy Journal Site (http://www.parkbooks.com /html/mgjbroch.html) is a Minnesota Genealogy Journal website. Mostly to sell items but it could be of value if you find something you don’t have.

Time-Passages Web Site (http://www.time-passages.com/) is a Dakota’s research site. Much of what I found here is for sale, but that’s okay if you want the information and don’t have the time to research on your own. I haven’t tried the site but it looks good!

Here are some comments from Gordon Herrboldt in response to an earlier article. I welcome the input and will always consider adding additional information which may be of interest to many people.
